Eastside Grocery in Oliver was robbed at gunpoint Thursday morning. Police are continuing to look for the suspect.
Oliver RCMP are looking for a man who robbed Eastside Grocery at gunpoint Thursday morning.
It is reported that a Caucasian man in his 50s walked into the store with a handgun and demanded cash. He made off with an undisclosed amount.
The store was closed Friday morning and the owner could not be reached for comment. However, in a Facebook post, the owner reported that everyone is okay and no suspects have been caught, but police apparently have a lead.
“Thank you all for your support. I’m doing fine and am just grateful that I was the only one in the store at the time,” the owner stated.
Police have yet to release any details on the robbery.
