Police and firefighters were called to a single vehicle accident on Highway 97 north of Oliver late Tuesday afternoon.
When they arrived, they discovered that a car left the highway near Sportsmen’s Bowl Road and struck a fire hydrant, resulting in water everywhere. The driver was not injured.
Town crews were called to deal with the water, and traffic was delayed.
There was no report on what caused the accident.
