Mail theft – Oliver RCMP are investigating another round of mail thefts. The latest occurred at the intersection of Willowbrook Road and Lillian Road four days ago. In this photo, numerous mailboxes on Black Sage Road are left open after an incident in late December. Police advise people to empty their mailboxes daily in order to prevent the loss of mail.

On January 11 the Oliver RCMP received a report that two sets of mailboxes (approximately 20 mailboxes in total) had been broken into at the intersection of Willowbrook Road and Lillian Road.
Police are investigating the possibility that these thefts are related to other recent reports of thefts from rural and municipal mailboxes.
“In keeping with these reports, the public is again reminded that it would be prudent to empty your mailboxes daily in order to prevent the loss of mail,” said Sgt. Ken Harrington.
