Dear Editor:
Letters to Santa Claus from Osoyoos and Oliver should be mailed at your nearest Canada Post office, where Santa has set up a special mailbox in the lobby in both towns.
Do not put them in the mail slot in the community mailbox, where you pick up your mail or they will be sent to Vancouver for processing, thus delaying the answer of you child’s letter.
Letters to Santa can be sent in English or French.
Postage is not required when sending letters to Santa.
We ask all mothers and fathers to please check to see that there is a full return address and name on the letters to Santa.
Teachers with classes that send letters to Santa are asked to please ensure that all names and return addresses are on the letters and printed so that Santa can answer them with proper names.
As well, please hand them over the counter at your local post office before Dec. 11.
This will allow Santa to answer them before classes are out for the Christmas break.
Those mailing directly to Santa are asked to please mail then before Dec. 16 so that Santa can answer the letters before Christmas day.
Santa’s address in English is Santa Claus, North Pole, Canada, H0H 0H0.
In French, the address is Pere Noel, Norde Canada, H0H 0H0.
