Dear Editor:
I appreciate this opportunity to clarify something that was written in the Osoyoos Times on October 15 under the headline “Well -known realtor and business owner announces candidacy for council seat”
In was stated in the article that my family had built the “Sunshine Cove” development in Osoyoos.
The fact is my family did not build Sunshine Cove, but we developed the subdivision across the street from Sunshine Cove known today as Heather Place.
My apologies to anyone who was affected by this information and particularly to Tom Mathews and his family and the Gaertner family.
I also wanted to clarify that my participation with the Osoyoos Desert Society was assisting the late Marlin Clapson and the committee with the fundraising event known as Romancing the Desert.
I helped organized this event and the silent auction and helped plan the wineries, restaurants and entertainment that so kindly donated their time to Romancing the Desert from the years 2000 through to 2003.
