OSOYOOS TIMES-December 23, 2009
Another momentous year has passed in Osoyoos and so the Osoyoos Times has prepared another Christmas list of wishes for this community for 2010:
- the completion of the affordable housing strategy
- water metering
- sidewalks around Osoyoos Secondary School
- an end to agricultural burning
- continued success for Osoyoos’s businesses and community organizations
- a momentous year for the ongoing revitalization of Desert Park
- more improvements to the town’s existing crosswalks and traffic signals and the installation of lights and signals at the more dangerous intersections
- a reduction in the use of non-reusable bags
- resumption of efforts to establish a national park in the region with negotiations that will take into consideration the needs and desires of all stakeholders
- a fully recovered economy
- some entertainment/recreation options for residents after 5 p.m., especially in the winter
- the completion of the Northwest Sewer Project
- health and prosperity for all
