The family of one of the men who died in a boat collision on Osoyoos Lake on June 8 is seeing the public’s help.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family of 36-year-old Nick Trask from Maple Ridge.

“Nick was such an amazing father, husband, brother, son, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend. He is dearly missed,” the GoFundMe page reads.

Funds raised will cover funeral costs and support Trask’s family.

As of Thursday morning, over $5,000 of the $50,000 fundraising goal has been met.

Kamloops resident Ryan Ellison, 35, also died in the collision, and three other people were hospitalized.
