Outfits for a horseback picnic have changed a lot in the century since this photo was taken. Titled “Similkameen Picnic Group,” this undated photo shows six women and four men having a picnic in a wooded area in the Similkameen Valley. Their horses are tethered behind them. The date of this photo is given as “191?” suggesting it may have been from sometime between 1910 and 1919. Thankfully clothing has changed since then! (Osoyoos and District Museum and Archives)
