Three more Osoyoos groups have received Resort Municipality Initiative (RMI) funding in what amounts to the third round of grant giving, determined by the Grant Evaluation Committee.
Gerald Davis, Director of Community Services and member of the committee along with two council members, Jim King and Johnny Cheong, said seven applications were received but only three applications qualified. The funding may be allocated to qualifying groups who meet the requirement of “visitor activity enhancement”.
Council approved the committee’s recommendation which saw the Osoyoos Actors Inclusive Society receive$1,500 for the production costs of the next show in the fall of 2025; the Osoyoos and District Arts Council is receiving $2,500 for a grant writing training and information event and Music in the Park is receiving $1,000 for signage.
