The Town of Oliver has opened its Cooling Centre on Wednesday, July 30 until 8:30 p.m. and Thursday, July 31 from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Cooling Centre is located at the Oliver Community Hall at 6359 Park Drive and provides residents with an opportunity to cool off and stay safe during expreme heat.

The town reminds residents that heat stroke is an emergency. Call 911 if you or someone you’re caring for is displaying symptoms such as rapid breathing, rapid heart rate, extreme thirst, altered levels of consciousness. For more information and resources visit oliver.ca/prepare-for-an-emergency .
