Hugo Pickell is the Oliver Rotary Club’s June Student of the Month.
Hugo is a big part of the Hornet Homies where he is always enthusiastically volunteering for extra jobs and service opportunities around the school. He is always eager to help. Hugo brings energy and good humour to every project he is a part of. Hugo shows up at school every day with a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone.
He is bursting with energy, sensitive and quick-witted. He understands the need to accept diversity and inclusion. He is very dependable and creative. The Drama department is fortunate to have Hugo involved in both the classroom and in the productions where he contributes in a major way on the stage with his charisma and talent.
Hugo’s energy extends into our athletics where he is a member of the Junior Ultimate team, Cross Country team, and a champion in the Pickle Ball circuit. His energy and attitude are infectious.
Hugo is a genuine and caring human and being in his presence is an absolute pleasure.
