The boil water notice that was issued Monday morning for a large swath of Osoyoos and adjoining areas along with a Water Quality Advisory for the entire domestic water system has been rescinded.

The original advisory was due to the power outage on Feb. 10 which caused one of the town’s booster water reservoirs – the 340 Booster Station – to run dry and the towns’ main 340 South Reservoir to drain to “critical levels” causing sediment to be stirred up and enter the water supply.

Town staff  flushed out the system and conducted necessary laboratory water quality tests which indicated the water quality advisories could be removed.
