A driver was left dazed but without serious injuries, after her car mounted the sidewalk, narrowly missing a light pole on Nighthawk Drive late Friday morning.
The incident occurred at a slight bend in the road in the 6800 block of Nighthawk Drive and while missing the light pole, the car did clip a town utility box before coming to a stop approximately 25 metres further on.
The force of the collision tore off the right front fender and the car’s front airbag was deployed.
A witness said the car appeared to have been moderately speeding.
Osoyoos Fire Rescue, RCMP and B.C. Ambulance Service attended the scene.
