The WOW Trade Show is the main fundraiser for the Society. The Trade Show features everything from beautifully handcrafted jewelry to pottery, wood crafts, fibre art, health products and services, fashion, food & more.
The trade show will be held on Saturday, March 12th at 10:00am at the Oliver Community Centre, 6359 Park Drive.
Admission is free, but a donation is greatly appreciated.
Masks & vaccination passports are required to enter the Trade Show. Passports will be verified at the entrance to the Show.
We are very pleased to have Oliver Eats Ltd. providing food services at the show.
The Women of Oliver for Women Society (WOW) has been active in the community since 2004. Our mission statement is:
“To enrich the lives of women and children in our community and beyond.”
In years past (pre-COVID), we were successful in fundraising & dispersing these funds to support local charities, non-profit and service groups benefiting women and children.
A few of the groups we support are: Oliver Food Bank, Star Fish Backpack program, Desert Sun Counselling, Highway to Healing, Sun Fun program through Oliver Parks & Rec, & the Small Wheels skatepark at Oliver Lions Park.
WOW was proud to receive the Spirit of Oliver Group Volunteer Award in 2016 and to be nominated in the Outstanding Community Group category for the Spirit of Oliver Award 2020.
We are passionate and caring women making a difference through dedication to our community. We invite like-minded women to join us. Membership dues are $20 annually. Our meetings are once a month, on the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Oliver Community Centre.
