The Oliver Fire Department evacuated a corner of Main Street this morning due to a gas leak.
Fire Chief Bob Graham said a gas leak occurred behind the Oliver Theatre near the construction site on Station Street. The cause has yet to be determined.
People in a residential unit behind the theatre were reportedly evacuated, along with the Times-Chronicle building.
FortisBC dealt with the situation, and the fire department was released from the scene at approximately 9:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
