Two people impacted by last week’s house fire south of Oliver were offered help through Emergency Support Services but did not utilize it.
The fire just off Sawmill Road caused significant damage to the home and displaced the occupants. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
“Nobody hurt, all occupants accounted for,” said Oliver RCMP Sgt. Don Wrigglesworth.
The cause of the fire has not been confirmed. Unfortunately, a cat reportedly died as a result of the blaze.

Fire Chief Bob Graham surveys the scene.
