Supporters of Desert Hills Estate Winery are wishing the business a speedy recovery after it announced a COVID-19 exposure over the weekend.
On April 2, the winery posted on its Facebook page that it was closing its wine shop and tasting room temporarily as a result of a positive COVID-19 test of a person in its circle of contacts.
“The well-being of our customers, community and our team will always come first,” the company stated.
The winery said the situation was “immensely tough” and uncertain for all of them.
“As a small winery, we have always strived to be transparent as possible and share how we are adapting our services to provide a safe environment for our customers and team.”
The winery is conducting a deep clean of its spaces and team members will be self-isolating and self-monitoring until further instructions from Interior Health.
“We look forward to drinking wine with you again soon,” the winery team stated.
Supporters on Facebook thanked the business for its honesty and wished the team a safe recovery.
