The numbers are in and BC Elections has released financial statements for last year’s municipal elections.

In Osoyoos, the top spender was incumbent and re-elected councillor Jim King, who spent a total of $2,626.46 during the campaign period.

Newly elected councillor Brian Harvey followed with $1,606.82. The majority of Harvey’s funding was donated, including over $500 from local realtor Eileen McGinn.

Harvey collected more donations than any other candidate.

Reelected mayor Sue McKortoff spent $1,495.04, while her challenger Doug Pederson spent $650.

Also elected, incumbent councillor C.J. Rhodes spent $411.80 ($85 donated) and new councillor Myers Bennett spent $729.70 ($99 donated).

Other council candidates included Shelley McIntyre ($1,222.06) Jane Long ($1,200, $200 donated), Sherani Theophilus ($176.79), Kenny Music ($465) and Sy Murseli ($442.55).

Water councillor candidates Claude Flory Moreira and Kuleep Singh Dhaliwal both had no campaign activity.

As for school board elections, newcomer Brenda Dorosz topped spending at $869.76.

Re-elected incumbent Casey Brouwer spent $330 and candidate Penny Duperron spent $430.71.
