Where there’s thick, black smoke, there’s fire.
That’s what Oliver firefighters were greeted with late this morning when a motorhome and car were totally destroyed south of town near Road 5.
The fire occurred in a tree fruit orchard where a motorhome was parked on a slab and the car was parked right next to it. Both vehicles were gutted. Firefighters managed to quickly extinguish the blaze and protect surrounding structures. The fire did not spread to the orchard.
It is unknown if any injuries occurred or how the fire started.
