Health workers celebrate after 20-year battle
In 2002, when the newly elected BC Liberal government introduced Bills 29 and 94. The two laws made it far easier for government to pay third-party businesses to deliver non-clinical services in hospitals and facilities like care homes and stripped unionized workers of protections negotiated in their collective agreements.
