Fundraiser helps send youth to Japanese sister city
The Oliver Fire Department (OFD) raised over $1,000 at a fundraising BBQ on Saturday which will go towards helping to send three Oliver Ambassador Youth Delegates to the town’s sister city of Bandai, Japan.

Oliver will be helping to send a student delegation to Bandai, Japan in July 2024 with the Sister City Committee has been at work considering the logistics around sending delegations to Bandai, Japan, one of the town’s sister cities.
