William Blaine Nunweiler


August 12, 1945 – December 2, 2024

Blaine succumbed to his Illness on December 2nd 2024. He was born on the 12th of August 1945 to William Nunweiler and Lucille Close in Oliver, BC and attended the Oliver Secondary School until grade 10. (around 1951-1962).

Blaine married Carol McDougall in 1968, they had two beautiful daughters: Shannon Nunweiler and Kathy Jung (Andre). They were divorced in 1982. Later on, Blaine married Joan Redenbach in 1991 and there they blended their families together.

He worked at T & G Motors (1962-1964). Then Blaine went on to work for Argo (road maintenance) for many years until his accident. Blaine and Joan both worked as Guards for the Oliver RCMP Detachment. They were both quite involved with the Oliver Search & Rescue. Blaine enjoyed the outdoors: camping, fishing, snow mobiling and being around with family.

Blaine is predeceased by his parents, William & Lucille; his sister, Eileen Lyons; 1 brother-in-law, Albert Perozuk; his grandson, Jacob Lacoucier; then by hours his wife, Joan.

Blaine is survived by his children, Shannon Nunweiler and Kathy (Andre) Jung; 1 brother, Ken (Linda) Nunweiler; 2 sisters, Jennifer Perozuk and Debra (Bob) Pohl; step-son, Brent Redenbach (Rae); 1 brother-in-law, Gary Lyons; 4 nephews & nieces: Brad (Vickie) Lyons; Michelle (Jason) Lyons; Danny (Lyneve) Pohl; Dale Pohl; 8 grandchildren, Chloe, Johannes, Kinkade, Cory, Kyra, Alishea, Braye and Teesha and 5 great-grandchildren.

Blaine & Joan will both be very missed by this family.

Graveside service will be held at 12:30pm Friday December 13, 2024 at the Oliver Municipal Cemetery. A memorial service will be officiated by Pastor Darren Siegle at 2:00 pm, Friday December 13, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church followed by a reception in the church hall.
