It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Violet Makway, who peacefully left us on December 7, 2025, at the age of 93.

Born on June 28, 1932, Violet was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is lovingly remembered by her children Yolanda, Rod, Scott, and Arnold, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the love and wisdom she shared with them.

Violet’s kindness, generosity, and nurturing spirit were the cornerstones of her life. She was a loving and caring mother whose presence brought comfort and joy to those around her. Her passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew her, but her legacy of love will continue to inspire and guide her family.

A funeral service to celebrate Violet’s life will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church in Osoyoos. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring her memory and the beautiful life she lived.
