It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald “Ron” Johnston on January 4, 2026, at the age of 83. He will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him—family, friends, and neighbors whose lives were brightened by his kindness and steady presence.

Ron was predeceased by his mother, Sophie Johnston, his sister Patsy Johnston, and his brother Jim Johnston. He is survived by his younger brother, Bill Johnston, and his sister-inlaw, Brenda Johnston, and his nieces and nephews.

Ron dedicated his working life to the Weyerhaeuser mill in Okanagan Falls, where he was respected as a hardworking and loyal member of the team. Outside of work, he was known for his generous heart and his willingness to help anyone in need. His quiet acts of compassion touched many lives and will be remembered for years to come.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
