July 7, 1940 – November 17, 2024

On Sunday, November 17, 2024, Mrs. Maria Plut of Osoyoos, BC passed away at her home at the age of 84 years.

She was predeceased by Martin, her loving husband of 62 years; brothers, Anton Plut and Josef Plut and sister, Ann Krajsek.

Maria will be lovingly remembered by sons, John Plut (Sylvie) and Joe Plut; daughter, Lucy (Barry) Rathgeber; grandchildren, Michelle Plut, Bruce & Amy Rathgeber; brother, Alojz Plut of Semič, Slovenia as well as many nieces and nephews in Canada and Europe.

Maria was a hard working orchardist and loving and devoted wife and mother.

Over the years Maria enjoyed trips to Hawaii, Europe, Mexico, California, San Francisco.

She was a devoted member of St. Anne Catholic Church and she enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, entertaining and needle point.

Donations gratefully accepted for the South Okanagan General Hospital.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Saturday November 23, 2024 at St. Anne Catholic Church. Interment and committal will follow at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery followed by a reception in the church lower hall.
