Joseph Francis Trosky

July 28, 1941 – March 7, 2024

It is with sadness we announce that Joe passed away at South Okanagan General Hospital on March 7, 2024. He is predeceased by his parents Peter and Mary Trosky. Joe is survived by his wife Marge and the family that he cherished with all his heart, Kevin Denchuk (Antoanela), Paul Denchuk (Meredith) , Tanya Denchuk (Jules) and seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Mara, Virginia, Signe Denchuk and Jack, Shannon and Luke Vadeboncoeur. Brother Garry Trosky (Sheila). Joe was born and raised in Winnipeg. He worked as a firefighter with the City of Winnipeg Fire Dept. for 30 years. Joe & Marge enjoyed travels and cruises to many destinations and camping in BC, Washington & western Canada. Moving to Osoyoos with Marge in 2004, Joe quickly made Osoyoos home, woodcarving with his friends and volunteering in the community. Joe was a quiet man of few words who loved life, his family and his friends, always willing to lend a hand. Joe was a modest man who did not seek the spotlight. It was his wish to be cremated and not have a funeral, instead a “Happy Hour”, as he often enjoyed with friends will be held in his honour at the Casitas Del Sol Clubhouse, April 4 from 2:00 – 4:00. Many thanks to the nurses, doctors & staff of the South Okanagan General Hospital and especially Dr. G. Tarr for his excellent care over the past 20 years.
