John Waldemar Bork known as Jack was born May 2, 1934 and passed peacefully May 25th, 2026 at the age of 92 from a battle with lung and bone cancer.

John was born and raised in Oliver, BC to Francis and John Bork Sr. who were pioneers in the development of the Oliver Orchard community. John was a diesel mechanic and heavy equipment operator for various construction companies and mines all over BC. He joined Transport Canada in 1970 retiring over 30 years later from the Penticton Airport. He was a woodsman, hunter, fisherman, horseman, loved bluegrass & country music, dancing, rodeos, playing crib and a cold beer on a hot day.

He was a longstanding member of the Royal Canadian Legion, and volunteer at too many organizations to list but his greatest personal commitment was as a Member of the Masonic Lodge for 65 years.

He was a man of integrity, honor and respect and we are better people for having known him.
