December 30, 1929 – October 26, 2025

On Sunday, October 26th, 2025, Eugene Stewart Mahaffey of Oliver passed away peacefully in Summerland, BC, at the age of 95.

He is predeceased by his wife, Ena and his daughter, Nina.
Gene is survived by his son, Ted Mahaffey (Candace) of Grand Prairie, Alberta; nieces, Diena Willems of Oliver, BC and Debbie Vranch (Roy) of Spain; and nephews, Alfred Willems of Ontario and Tim Lynch (Laurie) of Grand Prairie, Alberta.

Gene worked for Northern Culverts and as a Corrections Officer at the Kamloops Correctional Centre before moving to Oliver where he became a Handyman until retirement.

He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, was a skilled woodworker and enjoyed travelling during the summer months in his RV.

In the winter, he enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and playing crib.
