Edwin Conner Clarke
It is with sadness and love that we announce the loss of Conner Clarke, who passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 90.
Conner is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughters, Loralee (John), Janice (Don), and Jen anifer (Steve); grandchildren, Riley, Aiden, Jolyne, and Jamie; great-grandchildren Juno and Lane; sister, Pat Rowe; as well as many nieces, and nephews.
Conner led a very full life. He had a lot of interests and careers in his lifetime. He had a great love for sports. As well as following professional sports, he loved to play and coach. Golf, basketball, and baseball were his favourites. He grew up in the orchard industry in Keremeos, so his first work experience was on the family farm. He then went to University and worked in construction to pay his way. He spent a brief time in the Airforce and training cadets became an interest. He began his career as a teacher in Dawson Creek and eventually went into administration.
Later in life he moved to Vancouver and spent a few years working in finance. We all know how much he loved to play the market. Conner enjoyed his affiliation with the Freemasons. He was an active member for many years. It was here that he developed lifelong friendships. Conner and Elaine had some great trips in their retirement. They especially loved Australia and their European River Cruise. Their beautiful property in Osoyoos was Dad’s pride and joy.
The love of his life, Elaine was always by his side. She currently lives at Village By The Station in Penticton.
What we will all remember the most about Conner is his very witty sense of humour.
Conner’s Celebration of Life will be held at Penticton Golf and Country Club, on September 14th from 1:00 -3:00. Please e-mail Janice MacIntyre at ([email protected]) if you would like to attend.
