May 24, 1933 – October 14, 2025

On October 14, 2025, Donald Albert Bennett of Osoyoos, BC passed away peacefully at the South Okanagan General Hospital surround by family.

He was predeceased by his parents and survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sharon; son, Dan (Helen); daughters, Debbie (Rob) and Donna (Brian); son, Dale (Joan); special niece, Helen; two nephews, many grandchildren and great grand children whom he loved very much. He was loved greatly by his family.

Donald had several jobs before becoming a Longshoreman for over 30 years. He enjoyed vacationing to Hawaii, across Canada, and many US States, golfing, gambling and visiting relatives. He was active in the community and helped with making the ice at the Osoyoos Curling Rink for the Summer Bonspiel.

Donald was interested in bowling, curling, and was an avid golfer at the Osoyoos golf course from 1998-2025. He also had a passion for car racing and was inducted into the Car Racing Hall of Fame. He always had dog biscuits, cat treats, and peanuts on his lakeshore walks for all his many animal friends.
