
Clifford William Devine
March 20, 1944 – September 11, 2024
On Wednesday September 11, 2024, Clifford William Devine of Osoyoos passed away peacefully after a long illness at the Oliver Hospital. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 51 years, Jacqueline (Lynne) Devine.
Cliff is survived by his daughters Catherine Devine and Michelle Miller; granddaughters Bridget and Sophie Miller; and brother Don Devine (Delcie).
Cliff started his career as a meter reader for the West Kootenay Power Company and moved up the ranks all the way to Supervisor. He left West Kootenay Power to start his own company with a partner, where they created the Linemaster Robotic Arm. They went on to receive the Manning Award for innovation for their work.
He travelled the world before settling down in Osoyoos to retire.
Cliff was chair of the RDOS board and was proud of what he was able to accomplish during his time, which included the diagnostic centre in Keremeos and the Oliver Hospital.
Cliff lived a big life and loved his work and family. He will be very missed.
