Celestine (Sally) Klotz nee Freson

May 3, 1937 – September 14, 2025

We would like to announce with heartfelt sadness that our dear Mom passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, after struggling for years with Dementia.

She was predeceased by her husband, Leo Jacob Klotz, grandson, Jordan Jacob Klotz, our Heavenly babies, Michael Lawrence Martini, Brooks Jordan Quintal and Cal Quintal, and all her siblings and many in-laws.

Our Mother will be lovingly remembered by her children:  Jackie (Larry) Martini, Brenda (Mike) Diteljan, Annette (Patrick) McKenna, Tim Klotz, Cynthia (Dean) Stevenson, and Chrissy (Shayne) Quintal.  11 Grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Sally was born in Macklin, SK, and raised on a farm with ten siblings in Denzil, where she met and married her husband, Leo, of 55 years.  They moved to Calgary after their three oldest children were born.  They then moved with their six children to Canmore to manage the Eldorado Motel, where our Mom wore many ‘Hats’, including housekeeping at the Seniors’ Lodge in Canmore.  In 1981, Mom and Dad moved to Osoyoos, BC, where Mom continued to work as the Manager of Housekeeping at Sagebrush Lodge until her retirement.

She was active in the community, including a member of the CWL at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Osoyoos.

Throughout her life, family and friends were drawn to her infectious smile, sense of humour, goodness, tenderness and grace.

Mom will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Thank you to all the staff and medical team at Sunnybank Retirement Centre.  Mom was very fortunate to have received the most compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to The Alzheimer’s Society or to Sunnybank Retirement Centre in Oliver, BC.

A service will be held, and details will be added in the near future.
