More than 325 athletes struggled through the heat to tackle the Oliver Half Iron and accompanying races last Sunday.
It was over 33 degrees celsius, but the athletes pushed through it.
Taking first place in the Half Iron was Martin Caron from Garibaldy Highlands in a time of 4:27:15.
Second place went to Adam Ward from Whistler, with a time of 4:28:45.
Cory Krist from Kelowna finished third in a time of 4:33:13.
The first female finisher was Lauren Powell from North Vancouver in a time of 4:57:03.
