Showcase Osoyoos coming soon
Osoyoos lays out its Welcome mat on January 30 at the Sonora Community Centre, for Snowbirds and new residents alike.
The Destination Osoyoos Third Annual Showcase Osoyoos provides people with an awareness of local business and attractions.
The yearly migration of retirees fleeing the frozen North or East for sunny Osoyoos has begun. Whether they ride out the winter at an all-inclusive RV park, rent an apartment for a few months or drop in for a weekend of wine tasting and shopping, winter visitors are always welcome in Osoyoos.
Last year over 600 people attended this special event that showcased the products and services of 42 booths from Osoyoos, says Debbie Stewart, Coordinator of the Destination Osoyoos Business Retention Committee, this year with a larger venue at Sonora Community Centre we hope to welcome 800 guests and estimate 60 booths.rnThe impact from our winter visitors and newcomers is undoubtedly considerable and appreciated. Many businesses are dependent on these visitors. With the rapid growth in Osoyoos, this event offers new business an opportunity to introduce themselves to the community. Tables are still available for the Showcase Osoyoos Open House for business, attraction or community groups, offering you the opportunity to meet and interact with prospective clients and audience attending this opening.
Many community groups offer activities ranging from desert tours, bowling clubs to creative writing and painting classes. There may even be golf in February. Lose the winter blahs by checking out all the new products available in Osoyoos. This can be a unique experience.
