Gertrude (Trudy) May Wellman was born on May 21, 1942 in Penticton Hospital. She passed away January 23, 2020. She was raised on the family Orchard in Osoyoos until her eldest sister Eda and husband Peter took over the farm in the 1968. Trudy and her mom moved to a house in town. Trudy remained there until a few years ago when she moved into Mariposa Gardens where she has resided until her passing. Trudy loved sewing, knitting, crafts and puzzles. She made many bright beautiful patchwork quilts over the years.

Trudy was Predeceased by her mother, Lydia and father Emil Wellman, sister Sandra Baker, brother-in-law Peter Peril, nephew Darcy Wellman.

She is survived by her sisters, Ada Peril, Ann Charlton (Ron), brother-in-law Mike Baker, nieces; Cindy Crusch, Barb Charlton, Christina Smith, Penny Statler, and nephew Peter Peril Jr, and many grand nieces and nephews.
