On Saturday June 13, 2020, Mrs. Georgina Jesus Machado of Oliver passed away peacefully at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 85 years.

She was predeceased by her husband Zacharias.

Georgina will be fondly remembered by her loving family including son George; sister Maria: brother Manuel as well as many extended family and friends.

Georgina worked at the Haynes Packing House in the 1970’s and on the orchard with Zacharias.

She enjoyed traveling, especially a couple trips back to Portugal and a trip to California. Georgina also loved to cook, sewing and taking pictures.

She was a long-time member of the Portuguese Club and a devoted member of the Catholic Church.

A funeral mass was officiated by Fr. Thomas at Christ the King Catholic Church followed by interment and committal at the Oliver Municipal Cemetery.
