
Joyce Matilda Dyck
On Wednesday March 11, 2020, Mrs. Joyce Matilda Dyck of Oliver passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Central Okanagan Hospice House in Kelowna at the age of 77 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Abraham Dyck; parents Nick and Ann Dekteroff; brother Jonathan Dekteroff and sister Jeanette McBride.
Joyce will be fondly remembered by her loving family including daughters Darbi (Ken) Rawluk and Kim (Paul) Saliken; grandchildren Kendra Rawluk (Nolan McInnis), Tyler (Emily) Rawluk, Sydney Fode (Kendel Stetchman), Blaine Fode and Alexii Saliken; sisters Jacqui Ali (Bill Windsor) Juanita Corrier, June Woods, Joan (Rob) Ross as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Joyce was born in Vancouver, moved to Osoyoos in 1951 and graduated from SOSS in 1960. She spent her working years farming, as a dental receptionist and as a bank teller.
Over the years, Joyce travelled across Canada, South Africa, Italy, Mexico, China as well as numerous US states.
Joyce enjoyed being a mother and grandmother and spending time with family and friends. She liked cooking, sewing, travelling, camping, fishing and golfing.
A private family scattering service will be held at a later date.
