It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Michael E. Wiren of Oliver at the Kelowna General Hospital at the age of 63 years.

He was predeceased by his parents, George & Martha Wiren; brothers, Wayne, Ken and Roddy and sister, Sheila.

Mike will be fondly remembered by his wife, Valerie; his girls, Darlene George and Amanda Murphy and the greatest joy in his life, his grandchildren: Samantha Murphy, Jonah Michael George and Robyn George.

He worked as a truck driver since the age of 19.

Over the years, Mike enjoyed trips to Haida Gwaii with his wife and grandchildren, salmon and halibut fishing and eating crab.

Donations are gratefully accepted for the Southern Interior Rotary Lodge – Canadian Cancer Society, 330 Strathcona Avenue, Kelowna, BC V1Y 5K7.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Inkameep Community Hall followed by a reception in the Inkameep Community Hall.
