(Barbara) Anne Camp

July 13, 2020

On Monday, July 13th the world lost (Barbara) Anne Camp; a beautiful, loving, thoughtful soul.

Anne passed away peacefully at St Jude’s Anglican Home after a long battle with mixed dementia.

She is predeceased by her parents, Jack and Anne Ross, and her sister Betty Eremko; and is survived by her two children Jason and Andrea Camp, her six grandchildren, and her brother Rob Ross.

In Anne’s youth, growing up in Oliver, BC, she was a bright, determined and disciplined young girl, knowing from the age of 10 she wanted to go to university to become a teacher. And an incredible teacher she became, one who made life-long impacts on those she taught.

Anne started her teaching career in Osoyoos and finished in Vancouver, teaching at University Hill, Charles Dickens, and Nootka to name
a few. She was a patient, kind, and energetic teacher who saw the best in people.

Anne was incredibly generous, always thinking of others needs above her own. She was a voracious reader (one year reading over 220 books), had a beautiful singing voice, and was a wonderful cook (particularly French cuisine).

Anne also traveled much of the world and enjoyed interacting with everyone she met. People often remarked on their encounters with Anne,
commenting that she was a kind, gentle, and caring.

Finally, Anne was an amazing mother, one who loved fully and unconditionally. She was endlessly proud of her children and grandchildren, whom she loved desperately.

She will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved her.
