A second osprey chick has hatched on the Town of Osoyoos’ live osprey webcam.
The bird hatched sometime late Thursday night or early Friday morning and was first spotted in the nest, on top of a decommissioned FortisBC pole, early morning July 5, after 2 a.m.
The chick is one of two osprey to hatch in the nest this year, but the first passed away earlier this week.
The stream is broadcast 24/7 as part of a partnership with the Town of Osoyoos and FortisBC and can be viewed here.
