A senior citizen who recently lost her husband is doubly hurt and saddened that no one has returned her cell phone that went missing three weeks ago.

The woman, who does not want to be identified, said she was in the Oliver Subway outlet paying for an order when she forgot her black Apple iPhone 4S on the counter.

When she returned a short time later, it was gone.

It’s not the value of the phone that concerns her, it’s the sentimental photographs she has of family and her late husband that cannot be replaced.

“These pictures . . . I would give anything for them back. These pictures mean so much to me,” the senior said in tears.

The woman is offering a reward for the return of the phone.

The senior said she put a block on the phone so nobody else can use it, so she’s wondering why it hasn’t been turned in somewhere.

This phone is no good to anyone, she pointed out.

“It’s sad enough that I lost him (my husband). I didn’t need this (my phone to go missing).”

The senior is urging that if anyone has the phone, they can drop it off at the Oliver Chronicle office on Main Street.
