Basketball teams competing against the SOSS senior boys Hornets quickly learn that if you get stung too many times, you don’t have a chance after the first half.

That’s what the Osoyoos Rattlers learned on Wednesday night when they fell 84-47 against Oliver’s powerhouse team.

The Rattlers started strong, draining the first few baskets before the Hornets knew what was going on. But it was short lived as the Hornets dominated their rival for the rest of the game.

High scorer for the Hornets was Gurshan Dhaliwal with 31 points. Manjot Dhaliwal recorded 14, while Manveer Brar had 13 and Harmeet Brar scored 12.

Be sure to cheer on the home team as it hosts the valley championships next week.
