Some “girls in the hood” show a little attitude after last night’s graduation ceremonies at SOSS. Photo by Lyonel Doherty
It was a hot one last night in the SOSS gymnasium, but after formal graduation ceremonies, the students were set free to take on the world.
Teachers Doris Kuehn and Barry Gruntman gave the graduates a lot of good advice, and valedictorian Olivia Ruddiman kept it short with a great inspirational speech.
It was one big family reunion outside the atrium where countless photographs and “selfies” were taken. Graduate Isaac Morneau even got money. (Who gets 100 per cent in chemistry?)
There was a lot of rewinding of memories that will be played over and over again. But like Gruntman said, the graduates will be 40 before they know it. But until then, the world better look out.
