Fire callWEB2An electrical problem underneath a mobile home trailer on Sawmill Road last night (January 21) caused a fire that could have been devastating.

Fire department spokesman Rob Graham said the call came in at 9:18 pm in the 5000 block of Sawmill Road. It was reported that smoke and flame were seen coming from underneath the home. He noted the occupants attempted to extinguish the fire themselves, but firefighters managed to “knock it down.”

No injuries were reported, according to Graham.

The trailer sustained some damage, and it is believed that an electrical wiring problem was the cause.
