People are mourning the death of 26-year-old mother Roxanne Louie, who was a member of the Osoyoos Indian Band.

While  family and friends continue to mourn, many people are speaking out on the death of Osoyoos Indian Band member Roxanne Louie who was murdered recently.

The body of the 26-year-old mother was found in a remote location near Naramata earlier this month after she was reported missing.

Charged with second-degree murder is 65-year-old Grace Elinor Robotti, reportedly the mother-in-law of Louie. Also charged is Robotti’s brother, Pier Louis Robotti as an accessory after the fact.

Members of the Osoyoos Indian Band continue to pay tribute to Louie with a communal fire, and a protest was scheduled to occur this morning at the Penticton courthouse where the accused made an appearance.

Many people  have spoken out on social media. Here is what they are saying:

“My heart just aches for her (Louie’s) young son right now. No one should  have to lose a parent at such a young age . . . ”

“We will miss you Roxanne, RIP sweet angel. Praying your child goes where you would have wanted.”

“What the heck is wrong with people. Now there’s a child without a mother.”

“I wish the monster that killed her an eternity of hell.”

“Hope someone good will take care of the little boy.”

“. . . how people could be so hateful and evil enough to murder someone . . . ”

“This world has gone to hell in a hand basket . . . ”

“May the angels of mercy wrap their arms around her and comfort her family.”
