FortisBC reports that a “system disturbance” caused a power outage in the Okanagan-Similkameen today, but power has been restored.
The utility told the Chronicle that the outage affected Oliver, Osoyoos, Penticton and Kelowna for about 30 minutes.
While crews were able to restore power quickly to these areas, it is taking longer for Keremeos to get its power back.
FortisBC could not pinpoint the exact cause of the outage.
