The Eastlink Curling Centre held its annual general meeting and wind-up dinner on Saturday, May 11 in the curling centre lounge. Reports were presented from all leagues, proving that curling in Oliver is alive and well. The present executive was re-elected by acclamation – Dale Dodge (president), Cathy Thompson (vice-president), Tracy Zandee (treasurer), and Diane Tetrault (secretary). The other directors returning, some after a hard-fought election, are Terry Einerson, Sylvia Murlow, Ray Minshull, Joyce Kuzyk, Tracy Johnson and Mo Lefebvre. The centre recognizes all of the volunteers and the sponsors who contributed to a great year of curling, camaraderie and fun. Now they look forward to a long summer of golf. Curling is back in October.
