Dear Editor:
I would like to thank the Country Squire Villa in Osoyoos for keeping me over the last three years.
I had my own apartment at Country Squire over the last year of my stay.
Staff there continually treated me well and I also had some privileges to go downtown and meet with coffee chums.
I suffer from schizophrenia, which affects 35,000 people in B.C. alone. You could fill the City of Penticton with that amount of sufferers of this mental illness.
Of course, the staff at Country Squire was very professional and very empathetic.
They all do their jobs very well.
When I wished to go out, I would visit with friends for coffee, where I quite enjoyed the company.
I would also like to say that I was assisted by a couple of chums that I have made – their names are Marc and Evan – and they helped keep me sane.
Evan used to rent movies to pass the time. Evan was one of the most honest persons I have ever met in my life.
It would take a somewhat large thesis to describe the stay of over three years that I enjoyed at the Country Squire Villa in Osoyoos.
God bless all those who helped me.
My time at Country Squire Villa will never be forgotten and I wanted to let the people of Osoyoos know what a wonderful facility this is and that the people who work there really do make a positive difference in the life of the residents who call it home.
Thanks again.
