Dear Editor:
Thank you for once again being part of the 6th Annual Festival of Trees at NK’Mip Resort.
We thank everyone for their continued support of this event and hope to see it continue to grow and be such an integral part of our communities Christmas season.
We are pleased to announce that this years’ festival raised $6,276.88 for the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and $1,653 for the Spirit of the Game Society for a total of $7,929.88.
We saw lots of visitors especially on the weekends and during the Christmas week with locals bringing visiting family and friends to share in the beauty of the trees and share some holiday spirit with the charities.
The winning tree by both votes and funds raised was the Osoyoos Aquabelles “Christmas Under the Sea” which was dedicated to Terry Van Allen.
Other popular votes included Home Building Centre, Pharmasave and Town of Osoyoos. We saw some fantastic themes on the trees and visitors delighted in the decorations and character of all the trees.
We want to thank everyone for their continued support and look forward to more excitement for the 7th Annual Festival of Trees next winter.
Many thanks on behalf of the NK’Mip Resort Festival of Trees Committee.
We will see everyone again next year.
