I would like to thank the Town of Osoyoos for your tremendous community spirit and pride.
This has truly been a positive experience for me and it was a great journey.
We should all be proud for making it into the Top 15 in the Kraft Hockeyville contest.
What an honour for Osoyoos to be in that final category across Canada.
Perhaps we can try it again next year.
A special thanks to the Osoyoos Times, editor Keith Lacey and reporter Mathew White for all of your great media coverage during this campaign.
Special thanks to Buy Low Foods Osoyoos, Family Foods, Tim Horton’s and McDonalds for the food donations made to the community reveal party.
To my biggest supporters, Joe Gecse, Jim Harrington and Brenda Dorosz, thank you so very much for all of your hard work.
I also have to publicly thank the Osoyoos Jr. A Coyotes organization, Elks Lodge and president Ken Usher, Brock Jackson at EZ Rock, Kathryn Marlow at CBC Radio in Kelowna, the Oliver Chronicle, AM 800 Penticton and Kelowna, Eastlink local TV channel Oliver, Castanet Kelowna, Town of Osoyoos director of community services Gerald Davis and the Sonora Centre Staff, Osoyoos town council members and all of my family and friends who supported me along this incredible experience.
Last, but not least, a great big thank you to everyone who voted for Osoyoos.
You are the heart of this amazing small town and I couldn’t have done it without all of you and your tremendous support.
It was a great bit of fun sharing the contest with you and we have all put Osoyoos on the CBC and Kraft Hockeyville map. You should all hold your heads up high and take pride in being from such a wonderful town. That’s why I love you Osoyoos!
